SpeedSport 2010
Moncton, New Brunswick
Despite being the end of April, hot rods and tuner cars were out in full force to attend the 36th annual Radical Speedsport. With over 300 cars in attendance from custom street machines to full-blown racecars, there was a little something for everyone.
For the past 36 years, Moncton, NB has been the host of the east coast’s premiere car show. For those of you who’d think, “Moncton? What an odd place for a car show,” you’re in for quite the treat when you walk through the halls of The Moncton Coliseum. Sprawled throughout the 4 halls of this gathering is a quite impressive display of automotive art.
Many big name brands and icons made their presence known at the show- it was hard to know where to begin. With Radical customs from Hemi House, Foose Design, even Xtreme Motorsport’s 2010 Chevrolet Camaro, and a spec list that in included LSX 454 small block and custom tire sizes (265/35/22 and 405/25/24), it was easy to see why this grabbed most of the attention from show attendees. Local car clubs were also out to kick
off the season.
Now not everything was related to the show, there was plenty of “Go” to be seen at this show. There was a number of IHRA drag cars on site as well as Atlantic Region Motorsport’s display to provide knowledge to the market on a safe fun way to get the most out of your performance-built cars.
Six cars at this show sported Focused Motorsports stickers with pride as our three sponsored cars were at the top of their class. Successful showings were had by Rob Barker’s 1992 Nissan Skyline GTR, which placed first in the “Best Nissan Class” and Daniel Goodine’s GTR was runner-up. Scott Sedero’s 350z placed second in the
Contemporary Sports Car Class 2000+. All of these vehicles are proudly sponsored by Focused.
Here at Focused Motorsports we were pleased to see such a strong turnout of enthusiasts and weekend racers alike. Your support proved to make this year’s Radical Speedsport one to remember.
